Smile juice damage and LCD bubbles

I recently spilled some juice on my pearl.. I took out the battery right away, and was able to somewhat salvage it. The phone still works.. even though I blasted it with a hairdryer and let it dry for about 5 days, there are still bubbles inside the LCD. Does anyone have any advice for what to do in this situation? Do I just need to live with the bubbles? Will they ever go away??

Sad and miss my old Pearl..

Dont be sad and take it to your local cellphone retailer, they should help you out. And i am sure they are little guys who fix all kinds of stuff, see if they cant fix your phone as well...those computer fixing guys.

Just take it to the cingular or tmobile or whatever you have and ask them.

I had my pearl in my shirt pocket, bent over a sink with the water running.....guess what happened.......yup phone fell under the running water!!!

I immediately took the Batt. out, and started sucking the water out ( read inhaling really hard to suck the water out.)

as soon as I got home I hooked up an air compressor, and blew it dry w/ about 90 psi

I have a little "water mark" on the lcd, but it works fine.. most of the time I dont even notice it.

    Sorry to hear that
I once had a cell phone in my pocket at a niteclub. Nobody told me they brought in foam machines. So after a few drinks and dancing with this got women, I go to get her phone #, lo and behold, lcd had this rainbow color smear thing going on from the foam.
I was real mad. I could only see about 1/3 of the screen

Had to buy a new phone a week later

    Good luck

Re: juice damage and LCD bubbles

The bubbles that you are seeing on your LCD are usually due to the backing that reflects all the light back up and out being warped from being wet. We repair liquid damage phones here in the shop every day and see that with a lot of them. As long as the LCD still works you can live with it. Replacing the LCD is not an inexpensive option in this situation since the pearl hasn't had the LCD's released from Blackberry for replacement in the field yet.
