yeah, that is what I thought, but it is not my actuall phone number. I set up the call forwarding so I will not miss the call, but it is going to use my minutes on my work phone which is not what I really would like to always have to do. I will keep searching, and looking back if anyone has any other ideas

ROFL. Well that makes 4 phones doing the same exact thing. I have eliminated the sim card being the issue I believe. I have never seen a standby mode on my phone, and have made the phone forward to my work phone so I at least recieve calls now. I still have a brand new BB pearl that doesn't allow me to recieve calls lol, is there any way I can make my phone call every hour so that it never goes dormate I am up for anything at this point, and I don't think Cingular will give me a 3rd phone. Thanks again everyone for trying to help.

Have any of you tried to update the OS? Not sure if it will help but it's worth a try.

    Horse,
Ok you are using a cinfular phone with a cingular operating sytem and a centenial sim card, correct? I suggest you may want to try reinstalling your operating system without the vendor file (check this thread for more info), or one of the other current OS to see if that fixes your problem.

    Hope for good news!
Did you delete the vendor file before you installed? I suspect that was the core of your problem...

Yeah I deleted that before I installed. It was just one file correct? Thanks again, and hope it works out.

NO DICE still having issues.... damn, any other ideas? When I start the phone it still says At&t even though I deleted that vedor file... does that matter? I might try it again, because it only took like 5 minutes to do the os install. I may not have done it properly?

Re: Issue: Phone goes to voicemail.

It should take longer than 5 min. Also no matter what OS you install it will always say AT&T when it starts up because I have the TIM OS and it says AT&T when I start it up. It usually takes forever to download and 20 minutes for the phone to start up after the install.
