BSE does cover the whole phone. i prefer BSE----but find that even the BSE have lifted on the edge and goop gets under so i have just the screen protection on with the hard clear case

    Chocolate or vanilla?

I installed an Invisible Shield on my Pearl, and I'm thrilled with it. You really couldn't notice that it's even on, unless you look VERY closely, and then, you'd see an egg shell pattern on the screen.

I only put on the screen protector, not the full suit. Also, I've never used BSE, so I can't really compare the two.

If you go to the Invisible Shield site, you'll see a demo where they try to puncture the IS with a knife, try to tear it... it's vertually indistructable. Not sure if BSE is the same, could be.

With IS, you get a lifetime warranty, which is nice, but it's a little more expensive, so.....

Just use ONE of them...either one. I wouldn't personally leave my blackberry, or any expensive device, without some screen protector. I would be too upset if/when the screen got scratched up.

I have the IS on the screen, and I've put my Pearl in Seidio's rubberized hard case. My entire Pearl is pretty much protected, except the keys... I can slip it into my pocket, and not really worry too much about keys/coins scratching it up! What's also nice is, it isn't much larger then a nake Pearl.

I have BSE on my Pearl, and its exactly like what others have said about IS. Can't tell (other than being grippier) its there, doesn't scratch, chances are theyre made of the same stuff, just marketed by different companies. It covers everything except the keys, and the chrome on the sides

I've had the IS and it works incredibly.....like nothing you've ever seen before. HOWEVER, I bought the IS in late April and over the course of about 3 months I have slowly had to peel the skins off one by one because of the appearance of the shield.

I use alot of lotion and oils on my hands and arms, etc. when I'm getting ready for work in the morning and that contributed to the dark discoloration that it gets over time. It is though, in pristine condition and it stays faithfully in my holster. I'm now down to just one skin and that's on the battery door.

    i've used both.

personally, i had issues with bubbles under the IS and ended up taking it off in frustration after about 2 days.

the BSE have always worked for me. i've used them on my pearl and curve and my husband has a full skin on his pearl.

I just used some window cleaner, just make sure it is grease and dust free.

I found the easiest way to apply them was to wet your finger with warm soapy water and just wet the sticky side before applying.

I found them difficult to handle if you totally immerse them.

I have IS on both my pearl and ipod. They work like a charm and nothing seems 2 penetrate either of the screens.
Easy 2 apply and have stayed on for a bout 6 months.
