    I've found that sometimes. Definitely not always. I can IM myself here and from enter to received, there's no delay. I'm thinking it's gotta do with the data network. Okay, that's my two cents.

    This is what I got when I install it. "your license is active for another 30days. Select "buy now" to extend your license. So it's not Free?

    Re: Instant Messaging

    i got the same message. it said before downloading it, though, that it was free while still beta.

    if you notice if you go to "buy now" it says "jivetalk is currently in beta and not yet available for purchase." so buying isn't even an option. i am hoping this means that it is free for as long as it is in beta, beyond that 30 days. if not, no idea.

    hope it is not too expensive once it is out of beta.

    you maybe missing the BIS-B service books.

    Try going into preferences and setting your transport to TCP, then go to your BB's Options > Advanced Options > TCP to set your carrier APN info. Normally you wouldn't have to do this, but if you can't use BIS, you can fall back to using your carrier's APN.

    Carrier settings here --> http://www.pinstack.com/carrier_sett...n_gateway.html
