Pheer...what are the problem(s) you are encountering. If you can please give some specifics I can guide you. I have installed quite a few games and Opera Mini Beta4 using jar/jad files and following the instructions given above.

    alright, well.....
    - i download the jar/jad files from the net....
    - use media manager to place them in a games folder on my pearl
    - i follow the directions to locate the files
but, when i get to the files themselves and use the "blackberry button" (to the left of the trackball) to open up the menu, thre is no option to download, only to open the files which results in the message, "unable to display file......"

I think for .jar and .jad files they should be on an SD card. Then you scoll to the files and "Explore" it which will then download it to the phone's device memory.

I'm still waiting for my SD card to arrive in the mail to test this.

Do any of the games for the 8100 work on the 8120? I tried loading a few and none of them worked.

Simply connect your phone to your pc (do not use desktop mngr) then click on my computer and open your phone there simply drag your jar or jad into media file. Unplug your phone go to media > explore click on jar or jad and it will download it onto your phone. delete jar or jad file afterword.

You do need a sd card for this to work.
