    I Want Longer Ringtone Time

Does anyone know how to extend the alotted time for the phone to ring? My pearl will vibrate a few times and then play only a few seconds of ringtone before going to voicemail. I want to get some more time out of it. Thanks for any help. I am new to BB and new to the forum and really appreciate what everyone does around here.

    Thanks.

I think I've seen this thread once.. You can do the above or if you don't want to wait in a virtual line you can change your profile settings to just one vibe or none at all that will give it another 10 sec or so.

This was discussed earlier. There's a way to make it ring for up to 25 seconds. I'm sure someone will like the answer here. Anyone?

Re: I Want Longer Ringtone Time

If you are with TMO this works:
    **61*18056377243**30#
this will set it for a 30 second ring

the number 30 at the end is the length. default is 25 sec I believe for tmo, in theory it should work will all gsm carriers, at least in the US just change the "18056377243" in mine to whatever number that your phone calls for voice mail, which you can find out on your phone.

    Bah.
    Pearl's ringing is crap!
I have mp3 ringtone with lenght of 1 minute and 13 seconds.
It rings 1 minute and 10 seconds on following phones: Siemens S75, Nokia 6230, Nokia 6233, Samsung U600, Sony Ericsson W850, Sony Ericsson K800...

It rings about 20 seconds on Pearl!
It's same SIM, same provider (T-Mo)...
    So why's Pearl cutting ringtone?
In space no one can hear you scream.

Re: I Want Longer Ringtone Time

do you have it set to ring and vibrate? cuz if it is that's your reason, vibration takes up ringing time.

Re: I Want Longer Ringtone Time

How To Change The Number of Rings to Voicemail

First, you need to know what your voice mail number is. Press the "Call" button > Press "Menu" > scroll down to "Options" and click the trackball> Scroll to "Voicemail" and click the trakball, you'll see your voicemail number.

Once you know your voicemail number, here's what you do: Go back to the home screen.

    Type *61*voicemailnumber**NUM# and hit send.

(Replace "voicemailnumber" with your voicemail number and replace NUM with the number of seconds you wish to wait until forwarding to voicemail. NUM must be 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30.)

EXAMPLE: if my voicemail number is 1-404-555-1234 and I want a 20 second delay, I'd do this: *61*14045551234**20# and press SEND.

This works with almost ALL GSM Service Providers.

Re: I Want Longer Ringtone Time

Just a warning, 30 seconds is the maximum amount of time you can choose and have your voicemail activate. If you choose more than 30 seconds your phone may or may not ring for the specified amount of time on your end however after 30 seconds the person calling will hear nothing.

If you choose 30 seconds on T-Mo there is the distinct possiblilty that your voicemail will not answer. I have mine set to 28 seconds.

i remember doing something like this a fews year ago when i had a motorola t701 or something like that.

tj, does it really work? and do you have US tmo too? not saying i dont believe you but im just a little paranoid about messing up my voicemail, phone, and/or tmo account.
