    Hi, I haven't been on here since may before yesterday. I'm sorry if this was already posted somewhere and i'm not sure if i'm posting this in the right spot, so if i'm not i'm sorry. I did a wipe of my os on my pearl and now i'm having problems installling a new one. Any ideas on what will work?

    What error message are you getting? Is the OS you installed from the same carrier as the phone was originally designed for? If not, did you delete the vendor.xml file?

    I'm getting error 507. The os system is from a different carrier and i erased everything, wiped it all.

    Error code 507 means there is no OS loaded on the phone.

    Since the OS is from a different carrier you will have to go and delete the vendor.xml file from the OS before DM will recognize it and allow it to install on your unit.

    You can find the file (usually) in the following location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader\vendor.xml

    when i try to use the desktop manager to try and install the os it's not even showing that the file is in the right format. but i will delete the vendor file and see if i can get it to work somehow.
