    I Learned Something @ The 8100

ok. I got a new 2gb card, gave my wife my 1 gb. When I transfer music, photos, or whatever to my 8300 using DTM/Roxio, all I have to do is drag the files down to my media card. On her 8100, you have to open the media card where it displays the 4 individual folders and designate exactly where you want what your dragging down to go, eg, music folder for example. I did not know this and all the files I drug down are now on her picture folder-not good. It took me 45 mins and unless you guys can tell me how to internally move the music, pics and vids to their proper folder in the 8100, I'll have to reformat the card an start over. Any suggestions?

Why not just connect it to your pc w/usb, enable mass storage, use windows explorer to access the "drive", and just rearrange the files.

    chokem,

I thought you were gonna tell us you learned something GOOD ;-)

Did you try using Mass Storage Mode? Then you can simply treat the sd card as a removable drive and move the files as needed. That should be MUCH faster than using Roxio for this task.

Drag and Drop, Copy and Paste.....treat it just like any disk.

    chokem,

At the risk of being too simple...you do need to connect the device to your desktop with Mass Storage Eanbled and tell your desktop you want to "open the folder to view files" (or take to action). Then you will see the phone/card as a removable disk....

i ran into a similar problem. using the roxio that was included in the desktop manager you can easily rearrange your music and folders using the tips that were already given. it shouldn't take you no more than 5 min.

yeah, I did what Gary suggested and it worked like a charm. Why do you even need the DTM other than to install themes and apps?

Roxio does a nice job of converting media files, particularly videos, for use on your BB.

Other wise most folks find Mass Storage Mode much easier to use.

what HE said....i've come across a few threads with people looking for some kind of blackberry video converter which i found puzzling since the desktop manager does a fine job of conversion...although i haven't tried any full length movies but then again i wouldn't have time to watch it anyway if i'm out and about.
