I have 0 free space after a week with my pearl

I have had my pearl for about a week. All of the sudden I have 0 free space when I look at my status. I have looked around this forum and have tried most things people talk about. I am also having a problem with logged calls dissappearing.
I am new to this and would appreciate the help.
    Thank you

    Possible memory leak?

the only application I have downloaded is eoffice. I have also downloaded some pics of the internet as wallpapers. I have done a lot of web browsing but have already cleared my caches.
as for rebooting, do you mean turn it on and off because I have done that. if there is another way, let me know.
thanks yall, but still 0 free space.

    Deeznuts

Try a Cold Reboot (Battery Out, wait 15-30 sec, Battery Back in). Some times this helps. You might want to delete any unwanted Language support from your BB also.

Where are you saving these wallpapers? And how big are they? Are you saving them to the phone or the memory card?

first, thanks yall. I save everything to my media card. I did the reboot and regained 12909272 in free space, but everytime i look at it (periodically every half hour) and even though I dont do anything, the memory is just dissappearing.
Also, is there any way to reboot without taking the battery out??

Thanks for all the great ideas

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ There should be an icon on your homescreen that says power off. That is similar to a reboot, at least if power cycles your BB.

Re: I have 0 free space after a week with my pearl

First would be to delete eoffice unless you paid or plan on paying the $200 for it. It uses a lot of space.

I would also make sure your actually closing the programs when you exit and not just moving them to the background. I did this at first and a lot of new people do too. Always exit programs from their menu using close or exit, dont just esc or end out. press and hold ALT key and the key to the right of the tracball. Scroll through the list and see what all you really have open. Some programs also sneakliy auto load when you power on the phone.

Check the size on thoese wallpapers as they could be huge. Also make sure they are being saved on the MicroSD add on card and not internal memory. Just 1-3 decent pics can suck up memory.

Nothing replaces pulling the battery and I would recommened to do it once a week. It only takes about a minute and clears up a lot of thing.

I have 14 add on programs loaded and still have over 30 megs free so you HAVE to either have extra programs running you dont know about, real large wallpapers, etc...

You need to upgrade the software on your device. The software version number may be the same, but there have been some patches that have been added for known issues without the version number being changed. Should fix your problem.

You can delete the trial video (2mb) and most of the foreign language stuff for starters. When I pull my battery I have about 27mb free. But the memory definitely decreases with time, no matter what you do (close programs, delete call logs, etc). It's been discussed in numerous threads ("memory leak") and noone knows the cause, it's just a fact. The new Pearl out of the box with everything has about 15mb of free memory. I checked a friends' unit recently.
