Lightbulb I have figured out how to backup ota and 3rd party apps

I have posted my short guide on how to do this on my website..

    www.kradest.com

This will essentially allow you to backup all your ota and 3rd party apps so you can wipe your blackberry and reload any apps afterwards...

I have already wiped my pearl and loaded tim os... restored the apps and all is well.

I scoured the web to see how to do it, and no one knew how... so i figured a way out.

    Nice Krad! Thanks again!

Hey did you see the thread about switching the phone.axl of .64 and 1.94? Do you think it's possible?

I still don't think just the .axl file is enough, And doing that and all the Phone.cod files just crashed my Pearl. I am playing with Cingulars .73 right now. I am wondwering if there is a differnace in the phone apps for TIM and Rogers. SO FAR knock on wood I havn't had any phone issues. I am hoping I am not the only one trying to mix and match the files in these OSs, I like the browser form TIM much better with the desktop view. But .94 works faster in other ways.

Re: I have figured out how to backup ota and 3rd party apps

I would really like to get the instructions described in this thread so I can back up some 3rd party apps before wiping my phone to remove BES. I went to the site in the previous posting but it is under construction. Any help?
    Thanks in advance.

I am not sure I understand the need for this. When I updated my device recently I used Desktop manager to backup before the update began and restored once completed. All my apps were there after the update.

How do we late-comers to this Krad's discovery get it - his site seems to be "under construction. " Anyone get it before the site went under the knife?

Thanks a ton for the link. I have backed up my apps and all seems good. I haven't reloaded the OS yet so I will post if it has a problem with the restore.
    Thx
