I dropped my blackberry-it's not good

Finally, I've done it. I've dropped my Blackberry and the screen is blank. The red light flashes and then nothing. I was hoping there was a way to backup my hard drive. I plugged it in and although the computer recognizes new hard ware, my desktop manager just says it is disconnected. I still have the software from my old blackberry, could that be why? Or is it over? Thanks!

How far was the drop? Maybe you can try to leave the battery out for a minutre or 2. Then put the battery back in and try to charge it. If that doesn't work it seems like you need a new phone.

As far as backing the data up you can try this : http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...uter_wont.html

Thanks! It looks like I was able to back up my broken pearl, so I should be all set for when I get the new one! Thanks!
