    Hey everyone i am new here and i need all of your help to see if i can solve this problem .


    I have had my phone replaced by att and at the time they went to send me a replacement pearl they were on back order and they had me waiting over a week for the phone AT&T . so i told them to send me any color so they sent me the red pearl which i like so much better but here is my problem they didnt have a back for the pearl so i am using the dark gray back from my 1st pearl . I could really use all of your help to locate a RED back for my pearl !

    I am willing to pay for it if needed .

    That's how AT&T does their replacements. You keep the battery and door, and they ship you the refurb phone.

    It's like this for any phone you get replaced.

    They actually aren't supposed to send you a different color, either. I've even TRIED to cheat and get a different color RAZR once. They aren't supposed to do that, so I don't know why they did.

    Att wont help me they said they dont have any. I even called blackberry / rim and they didnt have a answer for me either.

    Search around on google.. there are tons of websites that sell OEM parts; I'm sure someone is bound to have a red one

    WHat the deal is: That is the norm! HOWEVER you can request a full kit in situations like this and they will send you everything form the battery & door to the new home charger!!! Hit me back if you need help!!!

    Wow. I even looked on eBay, and I found nothing but black and white pearl battery doors, that really is odd that you can't find the red ones even in aftermarket. Sorry, I couldn't find one for you.

    I called and asked everyone if there was a way to get a red replacement door and they couldnt help me. So if any of you have connections i would be so grateful .

    I'm actually facing the same thing now.. apparently the back plate is an accessory.. I'll let you know how i make out

    (part of the reason i went into the replacement dept was because my door was loose!!)

    Ok - Here's the deal. the back door is an accessory. You have to call RIM to buy a new one for $14.99 and pay like $20 if you want it shipped 2 day mail.

    If you call and raise holy huckabees with customer service like I did (considering part of the reason i needed a replacement was because that part was defective) and get a gracious lady on the phone.. they may credit your account for the price that you pay.
