How to track the amount of data you are receiving/sending?

Hello - first post in this forum...

I'm sure this is possible but am trouble finding out how to do this. All I want to do is to be able to monitor the amount of data I am receiving and sending. I have just activated the BlackBerry email service with O2 (UK) and am now happily receiving all my emails. However, I need to know how much data this is to monitor how much it's gong to cost me. So where can you access these stats?

Another thought...Does the email functionality calculate the amount of data just for email or is it part of the toatal amount of data you receive - i.e. including web browsing.

    Thanks

    Dan

There is currently no application to monitor data usage. I suggested such a application to be made in the thrid party section of pinstack, however it seems as though its not possible. Not positive, but you may want to check O2's website, as there may be some type of data tracking utility you can view from your account. Some carriers have this, and some do not.

Also email is included with web browsing as data.

Thanks for the response. To be honest this really surprises me since it is so fundamental to getting an appreciation of what it means to receive emails etc in terms of COST. It really worries me. Yes I can log into my service providers website and track it that way but shame on the BB - it should come with this functionality straight out the can.

I urge any 3rd party devs to get on this one please!
