How to make it ring longer

Is there a way I can make my pearl ring longer before it cuts to the answer machine as I never seem to answer it in time then I have to ring the person back?

I can't seem to change it under the profile setting. I have it set to vibrate three times but there is nothing to change the length of time it rings that I can see !

Turn down the number of vibrates from your current setting of 3. The more vibrates you have, the less times it will ring before heading off to voice mail.

Call your carrier and request the ring setting to be lengthened. I have TMO and that's all I had to do. They did it over the phone, I didn't have to change anything. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

The CSR I spoke to had me input the code myself, wasn't really a hassle but I got the feeling that she had no idea what she was doing.

Afterward, I got my phone configured to wait 30 seconds until switching to Voicemail.

I am with Vodafone in the Uk. I will go in to the shop as they are usually pretty good.

    For Vodafone (UK) ...

To increase the time before voicemail cuts in:
    1. Dial *#104# to get your mailbox number for example 07777 123456
    2. Using the number above as the example, dial **61*+447777123456*11*30#
To reduce the time to 20 or 25 seconds, change the 30 at the end of the number

    Hope that helps

    t- mobile is **61*18056377243**seconds# - (For example, 5, 10, 15, etc.) to Change Call Forwarding Delay (5-30seconds)

So, does anybody know how to do this with Cingular?

It seems that the "**61*" is a universal code, but I'm a little confused on how to use this. Am I supposed to dial **61* then push send? Or do I dual my number after the code then push send? Am I supposed to push send at all? Could someone clarify this?
