hi for those of you who have media files or any type of files that you wanna hide just fallow this
if you have a memory card create a folder and put all your files in it (pictures, work files, music, video etc...)
set your device to mass storage mode and connect it to your pc and open the directory of the memory card. you'll find it in my computer open the drive for the mass storage.
next right click on the folder with your files in it that you wanna hide and just change the attributes of that folder to hidden.
    thats it.
all your files are gonna be on your phone but hidden.
when you wanna use them just connect to your pc and go to control panel / show hidden files.

Not Fully True... you can lock your files. I've got the app.

    Check this out:

Let me know how it goes :-)

Both work (the way davidcle suggests, and the app jay_man33 posted).
I like the FileLock app, but with 4.5 OS, it's a hit or miss, I've had difficulty using that app.

But if you're running 4.2 OS, you can hide files by simply going to:
Media>Menu>Explore, you can make a folder there, and even move items to it, so when going into an actual Media folder (pics, vids, music) you won't see the folder, you actually have to go to Media>Menu>Explore to see it, they're not completely invisible or hidden, but someone who doesn't know how to use a BB will have trouble finding it.

    isn't that for only 4.5

I found that out today at school lol

I also found the way to unhide it.

    go to media
    and explore
and go to menu, then you will see a menu that says "show hidden"

Word, let the guys hide whatever they may want to. That's personal and we don't need to pressure them into telling us.

    That being said, beeshabo, thanks!

imagine you loose your bb and it wasnt locked.
picures, work files, can be accessible to anyone who finds your bb.

Good point, but I have mine set on autolock every 30 seconds. It saves my battery too (keeping backlight timeout to 30 seconds).
