Is there a way I can download files (zip, mp3's, word doc, etc.) yo the blackberry or the blackberry SD card via the BB browser alone?

Otherwise, the only otherway to download files while on the road is through email attachment only...

I know there are a couple pieces of software that allow you to access files on your PC, but ones I'm thinking of are not free.

RDM+ (normally used for Remote Desktop) also has a file management piece where you can download files to your SD Card. I own this but don't usually use it for that, just the Remote Desktop.

Take a look at the Pinstack Store. I'm sure they'll have something to suit your needs. If you don't find something there you can also take a look over at Handango.com.

I guess you misunderstood my question. BB doesn't have a "save" option. Or when you click on to a zip file it doesn't prompt you to download the compressed file.

I guess there isn't a way to "save as" using the BB?

    Thanks for the help though.

When you're saving a Pic for example...scroll to the pic you want to download, press the menu key to the left of your trackball, scroll to save image, it will then ask for a name of the file (you can change or keep the same) scroll up to the folder icon if you want to change "where" it saves to. Keep note of the folder that will then say "up" use that to navigate up a folder and then you can select "MEdia Card", you can make a new folder or select an existing folder on the Micro SD card. Scroll to save once the name and location is how you want it.

Side note, Mp3's and other files larger that 5mb you can't download over the air using the browser. Also while viewing a document from say an email, you can save that to the MicroSD card as well, use the menu key left of the trackball once again
