How to best get my hands on an 8120

I've waited in agony through several rumored 8120 release dates from T-Mobile. I've got some kind of hardware short on my trackball and top row of my keyboard where they work sometimes and don't work other times. Frequently they'll start behaving as though they are being pushed when the phone is sitting by itself on a table (thank god for keyboard lock). I've managed to suffer through this for a few weeks hoping in vain that I could finally get a phone that other carrier's customers have had for months.
The latest rumor is I'll be waiting until April which is completely out of the question. So, I could try and get a new 8100 through T-mo, which will cost me something over $100 bucks since my current phone--though insured--is past warranty. Then in Nov. 2009, or whenever T-mobile sees fit to release the 8120 to US customers, I buy another one. Or, I could bite the bullet and just buy an unlocked 8120 from somewhere full price, right? I mean, these things have been in stores in Europe forever, right? I figure I'm only out another $100-$200 more than if I buy 2 phones from T-Mo which I'm essentially stuck doing if I want an 8120 and don't want to be without a functioning phone for 2+ months best-case-scenario.

So, where to buy? Anyone have any good experiences?
    I found these guys online:

    and there's an ebay seller:

Wish they had more colors than blue since I'd be dropping close to half a grand on the thing with shipping and all.

I'd love to hear any recommendations.
    Thanks!

If you want a USA source for an 8120 find a Suncom dealer (soon to be owned by TMO actually) that will sell you a phone. It will still be blue and it will still cost you $400+unlocking.

Well, SunCom (the first GSM/EDGE carrier to have the 8120) supposedly merged with T-Mobile so you COULD TRY to find an unlocked 8120 on EBay.

LMAO Gary. You beat me to it.

Thanks guys! I am aware of the Suncom situation. I tried their website a few weeks back, but it didn't occur to me to try to just call some stores. I'll give it a shot!
Meanwhile anyone ever even heard of Plemix?
