    is their a way to get rid of the emergency call option when the unit is locked.
    it seems my phone while in my pocket has been calling it on its own. please help...

    Lock the keyboard. Personaly, i set the lock keyboard shortcut to the left button on the side.

    you could always use standby, it also locks the keyboard, wont make emergency calls, and automatically wakes up when you get a call or message.
    The only downside is that you cant just hit a button and see the time and date... which i do pretty often or i would use standby over key lock too

    yeah im the type of person who is constantly looking at the time on the phone for some reason i dont know why maybe i should see a doctor but that what i do....

    SOS and emergency only just means you are out of signal range

    once you are back in the land of the living ,everything becomes clearer
