The whole point of my post ....sorry, I'm with att and I called customer service who got me over to tech support and they just guided me to keypad tones to turn off and I cant get the rep to understand that is not the tone or what controls the tone i hear when dialing numbers, I hung up with my issue being unresolved.

I can confirm this to be true. I also spoke with Verizon, and they told me that the only way to have the keypad quiet when dialing a phone number was to use the quiet or vibrate profiles. When either of these are selected, the keypad will be silent if you have keypad set to silent. However, even with that setting on normal or created profiles, the numpad will still make a sound when dialing a phone number.

I appreciate your willingness to help and no need to apologize, but I did already confirm it a few posts up.

I am with att and use the vibrate profile 100 % of the time. I have keyboard sounds set to off. When I dial a number I get the tones.

Also I just switched to quiet profile and I still get the tones when I dial the phone.

I have the 8130, and the dial pad is silent in Vibrate and Quiet. Didn't try the others. This must be a new thing coming for 4.3
