I've seen that too, I suggest you call Cingular and try to do it for free 1st unless your under some time frame issues.

I say you call Cingular first and they might do it for free with no hard times. If that won't work get the guy but be very careful those guys can easily break your phone and say sorry.

I'd call Cingular. If you are in good standing with them then there is no reason to for them to say no.

Why do you want to unlock it? There's no reason to unlock your Pearl unless you're either switching providers or selling it.

well i plan to switch providers (to tmobile) but cingular doesnt know that, i have been with Cingular(AT&T) since 1999. renewed my contract many times over, I am have been a loyal customer. I dont think they will suspect a thing.

I wasn't even a cingular customer. I just wanted to buy the red pearl and get it unlocked to work with tmo. I told them I was traveling and wanted the unlock codes. they took about 4 days with it but it went smoothly. It's really not a problem.

Travel is always a good (maybe best) excuse.
Pitty it wouldn't work in my country, with my provider...
