I have the manual settings but I don't know where to put them. Anyone know ... BlackBerry Pearl forum
How do I enter MMS settings in my 8100?
I have the manual settings but I don't know where to put them. Anyone know how to do this?
daniel, what do you mean the manual settings?
as in maybe the TCP settings?
you do require a bb data plan to send MMS
No I mean these settings:
Name - Tele2Comviq MMS
MMSC URL - http://mmsc.tele2.se
WAP Gateway - 184.108.40.206
Port - 9201
It's in Sweden so I don't know if the american settings will work for me.
You do not need a data plan to send mms messages.
I am not quit sure what you are asking.
well...yes, you do ... or someone to send you the service books, bc without them, you aren't going to be able to mms. and without a data plan, you won't be getting the books...

was your "other phone" NOT a bb?
blackberry needs the MMS service books to be able to send MMS.
i don't know why people want to argue with me...
It's not that im arguing. its the fact that i had a 7230 and i didnt have a data plan on it and i was able to send and receive MMS with unlimited txt msg plan from Tmobile. .
well maybe they have changed up since the days of 7230.
for now, YES, you need the TWO MMS service books
without them, you will not be able to send MMS
so if I get this right guys:
I need two mms service books and a data plan to be able to send and recieve mms?
so, where do I get these? Is it downloadable? would be glad if someone could post some links..
second of all.. when I for example open a picture on my phone I can't "send to MMS contact" only "send via bluetooth". Is this as it should be on the "8100" and that it will only work after some kind of update?
Thanks for all the answers so far. Really appreciate it guys!
^^You will need to call your phone carrier and have them add a BlackBerry data plan on to your plan. It will cost additional. Not sure about Sweden, but give them a call to find out. That is the only way.
You're correct. Unless they've changed it in the past few month's, T-Mobile doesn't require a BBdata plan for MMS messages. You just need the "BB Feature Enabler" added to your account; unlike AT&T that requires the BB plan for MMS on the 8100. The 8310 comes with the service books preinstalled so it will work with the BB plan, I'm not sure about the new 8110 & 8120.

There is a way with tmobile were you don't need the data plan to send and receive MMS but I'm not entirely sure about it. I would suggest you call your service provider and see what they say. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
