How do I add a work to the dictionary?

    while typing?

Say I want to write Naruto. When I click the buttons/letter the word doesn't come up, so how do I turn off predictive text so I can do it manually so the Pearl learns the word?

Do I have to exit and go into custom words?

    there are two ways:

    1. adding your words into using the custom wordlist (options > custom wordlist) manually.

    2. auto word learning. make sure it is enabled (options > language > input options). now, while you are composing your word, type it slowly and roll the trackball to the correct letter after each keystroke.

Re: How do I add a work to the dictionary?

actually to ADD it to your word list (dictionary)- lets say you try to type naruto and it comes out 'barito' on suretype (well on mine it did..). just go ahead and click the menu then EDIT AUTO TEXT then menu again then NEW then type 'barito' (whatever word it comes out when you try to type naruto originally) then it says:

replace: (type barito..or whatever the wrong word)

    with: naruto

    then save!

now everytime you try to type "naruto" and it comes out "barito" press space and it changes it to "naruto"! unless of course you wanna keep "barito" for whatever reason..then thats a diff story! i did this to "duck" and changed it to youknow what. cause i never use the word duck. lol hope this helps!
