    hot car killed the pearl

My gf left her pearl in the car and now it doesn't work. Got a replacement coming tom but it just seems weird. People leave their phones in the car all the time, in sunlight and all. Hers was under the seat and now its fried. Anyone else had this happen?

for the device you cannot exceed the following temps:

    "Device operating 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C)
    Device storage 50 to 86°F (10 to 30°C)
    Travel charger operating 32 to 113°F (0 to 45°C)
    Travel charger storage -22 to 167°F (-30 to 75°C)"

depending on where you live and the temperature for the day the temperature within a vehicle can easily climb up to 200f.

on an 85 degree day it can climb above 100f...http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14152427/

I had an unopened can of Coke explode in my car yesterday. It was the worst mess in the world to clean up. And yeah, heat can definitely destroy electronics. Maybe the glove compartment would be a bit cooler. Sorry to hear about that!

I stay in metro nashville, and yesterday it was 104 and I was in my car with no ac, I noticed that the pearl was burning hot. I tried to shade it, but I figured it would ruin it if I left it in there..

What was she doing leaving her BB out of sight?! She must not be a true crackberry addict.

Yeah, we're in Memphis. This heatwave is bad with our humidity.

Her alarm went off this morning so maybe it just messed up the screen, oh well. Be safe and don't leave your phone in the car this summer

If it turns out to be only the screen is dead, you can get a new lcd put in it. Unless her carrier is making her send back the dead one.

I left my pearl in my car one time...this wasn't even in the heat of summer..this was in like May when it had just started to get warm...and I get it out the next day and the LCD looked kinda faded...so I pulled the battery just to be on the safe side...it was extremely hot! Yeah...I'm in Murfreesboro TN and the weather here is ridiculous! I have a little thermometer in my car just to see how hot it gets...lets just say it tops out at 120 F...and it fills that up completely by 11AM...lesson learned...and it's cool your provider is replacing it!
