    Check it out!

If someone could write a 3rd party app that would allow us to use this, how cool would that be?

    What's your take?

I think it would take more than a application to do this. I think the 8100 lacks the hadware.

The Pearl 8100 can transfer data to and from the card. All that is needed now is an app that knows what to do with that data.

    I hope this works out!

If they could make it compatible with the BB OS, I don't see why not. Now if we just have room in there for it in the BB.

You mean like in the card slot? Yeah, I hope so too, but I'm pretty sure that card is ~exactly the size of a micro sd

What about a combo?!?! An app and a USB external WiFi antenna that would just plug in to the side of ur BB??

Seems like that would be the closest thing to what's possible IMO.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, the little side-plugin thingy, but this seems much more likely to come about first.

it would make sense, on the new theme builder the 8100 has a wifi signal meter and stuff..

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~i dunno, it seems like a pipedream, it probably be very expensive, and seeing as the 8100 model is just about being phased out and the latest models have all had wifi, I don't think we will see a wifi external solution. It would most likely be cheaper to upgrade with a 2 year plan to a BB that has it built in.IMO

I agree. My issue would be the loss of memory. Unless this card is a storage card as well, but I doubt that.
