Holes in battery door to make speaker louder

I know that this has been discussed but I can't find the thread and I know some of you have done it.

I would like kinda a walk-through of how you made the holes and what tools you used so I can do it to my Pearl.

I REALLY Need to make it louder as I use my phone for an alarm clock but I can barely hear it go off and if I am in a deep sleep then I sleep right through it.

    Any help would be appreciated!!!

    Thanks

From what I have read, I have only seen talk about it. I have not been able to find a full "walk through". I was going to create one myself but have been lag'n on getting an "extra" back battery case for testing. When I get a hold of an extra one I will for sure create a walk through for those who are interested.

If you find anything something like this already created, please shoot me a PM.

You can always try a really loud ringtone for your alarm. Works for me and I'm a deep sleeper.

I just used a dremel, some very small drill bits, and a piece of masking tape. Put the masking tape over the area (helps keep you from scratching too badly if you slip and can help guide the bit). Drill the holes with the smallest bit you can find. Then if you want, find a slightly larger bit to enlarge them.

Oh, I guess I did use more. I taped the back firmly to a piece of styrofoam that I broke off of some old package. Let me get a firm grip and press down firmly without worrying about warping the cover.
