    Welcome to the stacks!

2 - To find out what OS, go to Options > About

    should say for example v.4.2.1.107
This is the latest OS for Tmobile. You can search the threads for opinions about the different OS...

3- With Tmobile, depending on how long you've been with them, they will give you the unlock code for your phone. Just call and talk to a customer service person and ask for it.

ksed - welcom to the stacks!

    1. Sorry - I could not see the image you want your clock to look like.
    2. Go to OPTIONS>ABOUT and read the 3rd line down. Mine says v4.2.107 = that is the OS I am running and it is the newest. Depending on how old your OS is you may see a lot of improvement or very little from an upgrade. If you do upgrade here are thread about the steps you need to take. You may find Reddogs FAQ thread very helpful.

    3. Unlocking your pearl allows you to use other carriers SIM cards, it does not mean you will have free / no pay / service. It may be a but tricky to find someone who can unlock a Chilean carrier. Do you have a real need for an unlocked phone?

Let us know any way we can help you get the most from your BB!

Gary this is the pic http://www.ascendo-inc.com/images/Blue7100Theme.gif

Unfortunately that is all theme controlled. You will need a theme that has that type of Font for the Clock.

And I think the other two have answered your other question quite well.

If you have anymore feel free to ask.

Thanks Red---for some reason I just couldnt get that to open ...

I might add that a good place to look for themes is mobile41 -> http://www.mobile41.com/Themes.htm
They have a lot of different themes including creations from our own Cherri, and you may find one that has just what you are looking for!

Re: Hi im new and try to discover my pearl

    @Gary - Not a problem

@ksed - Unfortunately I'm not familiar with any overseas unlocking companies. I'm not sure if you carrier would do it for you or not. You may want to just give them a try and ask them for an unlock code. It's always worth a try, or else I would try and google it. I can't recommend any since the last time I googled a company and found it for a member it didn't turn out very well. Good luck though

    ksed

SIM card menu is under OPTIONS-ADVANCED.
You may try gsmphonesource.com for SIM unlock. Contact them first and see if they can help you in Chile. There was another company that posted here recently and said they could unlock world wide. If I find the info on them I will post it back.

well T-Mobile only requires that you've been a on-time paying customer for 60-days in order to unlock your phone...hold out for the rest of the 2 months and T-Mo will do it for free

Re: Hi im new and try to discover my pearl

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~hi I unlocked my Pearl in India through Cellunlock.net. I was a tad apprehensive as they charge a lot ($59) & I read some adverse comments about them after I had paid them. But they sent me the unlock code after 10 days which worked! My Pearl can now take any SIM card! I'm happy!

OUCH $59 dollars...thank GOD (or whomever you pray or don't pray to) that T-Mo does this for free...good looking out on the cellunlock.net tho...i know not everyone is as blessed to have T-Mo as their cellular service provider

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~All I can say is that here in India they give you the unlock code after 2 years of use. If T mobile gives it after 2 months, be happy!
