    help. which applications to uninstall

    so im newbie with the blackberry pearl and i want to make it run faster so i need to decide which applications i can delete without affecting the phone.

    the applications i have are
    bb 4.2 core applications
    bb 4.2 system software
    bb attachment service
    bb mds runtime
    browser
    dd root cerfificates
    phone
    tty support

    TTY Support is only if you are hearing impaired.

    But other than that, I really wouldn't recommend removing any of those core applications.

    Wait for more input...

    If you aren't on BES you don't really need MDS Runtime.

    I've removed the Root Certificates one and no problems so far.

    If you aren't deaf...you don't need TTY Support.

    IMO

    None of those things will really make it run faster. The purpose of removing files is to free up more memory to save stuff. Theoretically if the blackberry OS were to consume all available memory for running applications then things would slowdown, but it is a pretty efficient little OS and knows what to kill and what not to. Until you are under 10megs of available memory you really have nothing to worry about performance wise.

    DOD...(Dept. of Defense) Don't need unless U R ---->>>CIA, ATF, FBI, etc... (or plan accessing their sites.)
