do a search for Quick Pull or Soft Reset, both are free apps for restarting bb without having to battery pull.

Alt+ right shift + delete will reboot your phone.

Oops nevermind the 8100 is not a qwerty device. Sorry.

For the pearl, as Mclovin pointed out, you will need to download a 3rd party app to assist with this function. Like one he suggested. Only problem I have found with them is if your berry is froze up it makes it tuff to launch another app to simulate a battery pull. Personally it is much simpler to just pull the battery. Now on a curve it is not the case you can just hold the alt shift and delete key.

Download quickpull and set it for a daily auto reboot t like 2-3 am and you won't have to worry so much about your phone freezing up because you will always be refreshin your memory.

A slight note of caution. Quickpull has been creating some problems for me. Apps not working, icons vanishing. The other reset app is better. And, yes, if the phone freezes, no app is good. I would recommend memory up pro that works in the background and cleans the RAM, which makes devices work faster and freeze less. In any case, reboot is required to free up device memory. Use the other app (forgetting the name) to reboot from time to time (eg. Check options, status-if file free is less than 7 megabytes, reboot)

Either use quick pull or quicklaunch (they just added a reset feature)

7 MB free would be a wonder for many of us and surely wouldn't be cause of itself to need to reboot. Routinely older devices run perfectly fine with only 2-3MB free memory or even less.
I run QuickPull without any errors. But I have it set to run oversight and I exit apps before putting the device on charge for the night.

I love quickpull and I would recommend that to you. Mine reboots every morning at 2am.
