HELP HELP please. Am reading these avidly in the UK. I have tried ALL the suggestions - content protection on and off; address book on and off; a single plain contact entry - but still no contact name showing on incoming calls. Desperate now as this is my work phone and I need to stop screening my calls - aaaarrrrghghghghghghghhg

If it is all the time, then you need to go to the phone (call log) app and from the menu select options, the open Smart dialing. Set your phone number length (UK is 11 I believe) your country code and area code. Don't forget to save.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the welcome - I am such a ludite so it's brilliant to know that there are 'special' chaps like you there to answer my ridiculous questions! (I pass on my knowledge to my friends who now believe I am a BB genius) Did the smart dialling thing and it seems to work - hurrah and thank you. I'll let you know if I mess it up...
