Question Help Please, Caller ID not recognizing numbers stored in address book.

Help Please, Caller ID not recognizing numbers stored in address book. Yeah it is a strange and random problem anyone know what's wrong or has anyone heard of this happening. I have a Pearl from TMO but it is unlocked and I use on Cingular (currently without a BB plan since I'm poor at the moment). The weird thing is this only happens sometimes, example my buddy Joe's number we will say is 555-555-1212 well that's the number I stored in my address book and so when Joe calls me from that number his name should be appearing on the caller ID right? Well sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. If I don't answer (I don't like answering calls before knowing who it is) my bb will then show missed call right? So when I go into my call log sure enough it show's the call as Joe and not his number. So it isn't that I don't have my numbers or addresses entered correctly. Please any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, I am getting so frustrated that I have gone back to using my crappy Moto Razr till I get to the bottom of this. Thanks for your time and Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, I should also mention that I only have my contacts saved to my BB Pearl and NOT my Sim card. I tried copying all contacts to Sim but I have to many and I didn't want to sort through 300+ contacts and copy only priority contacts to my Sim. Backing up your numbers onto your Sim is a great idea but unless I'm mistaken it is not necessary and simply optional.

my first thought is to do a batt pull.
phone on batt out 30 sec then back in.
that solves small issues with the BB.

This has been happening lately with Cingular/AT&T customers. I recently tried to resolve this problem with another stacker that had AT&T. I think it maybe a network thing. Not sure though.

yea, I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I has to be a network thing, unless a TMO customer comes up with this problem. If that does happen then we may have a device or OS Bug. That's all I got.

Ok I'm. Taking a guess here, but do you have Content Protection turned and you BB is locked when it won't show the name?

    Hope this helps.

Rcbjr You Are a Genius! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, and Thank You! You just solved my problem. Under Options->Security Options->General Settings->Content Protection I had it set to include my Address Book, once I changed that Yes to a No all my problems seem to have gone away. I am forever grateful.

To Kayos72 & reddog187 Guys you Rock thanks for the help and for your time.
