can someone PLEASE help me?!?! im a newbie to the blackberry. i recently just got my pearl and am having some issues with it. i've dropped my phone twice and each time, it shuts off on me. i take out the battery for 15 seconds put it back in and try to power it back up...and it doesn't power on. i plug in the charger, and the red LED lights up for a second and goes off. i'll leave it alone for about a day, and it'll turn back on the next day working fine. does anyone else have this problem? is this normal?? it's extremely inconvenient!

You must have jarred something. You can try to reload the OS see if that helps. If it persists I would get a replacement.

I'd never mentioned you dropped it and take it back.

If you are still under warranty, definitely take it back and get a replacement. This sounds like a hardware issue due to dropping it. Do not mention you dropped it, just relay the shut off/restart problem. Word of advice. Get a case for your BB and treat it like a baby. Its an expensive device and the components are very sensitive. Dropping it could really damage these components.
    Baby your BB!
