    Help..is my Pearl dead?

    I was in the middle of doing an OS upgrade and all of a sudden my PC says " cannot recognize USB device" and the update stopped. Now my Pearl doesnt turn on, it just flashes the red LED (flash, flash, pause, flash, flash, pause..). Ive taken out the battery several times and no luck.

    What can i do???

    have you tried connecting the pearl to the pc again?

    if worse comes, you might have to wipe your device

    yeah, i tried reconnecting it but it doesnt recognize it. Im ok with wiping it, its better than not having a phone. But how will i even be able to wipe it, it the USB doesnt recognize it.

    I had the same thing happen about two months ago. I had to uninstall/reinstall desktop manager, not sure why, but it worked. Hope this works for you .

    but your phone died too? or just your desktop manager didnt recognize you Pearl?

    thank you thank you thank you ... you guys rock. I just did what Gary suggested and it worked like a charm. I lost my Phantom theme and a few apps that i have to redownload.. but besides that I HAVE A PHONE AGAIN!!
