    Help Im so confused....

    Ok, so I have been having some big issues with my 8100 lately. I recently upgraded OS's and doing so I some how lost the ability to recieve/send email, or really even connect to the internet. My browser is gone, but I still have maps and stuff(but they dont work). I have tried resending my service books and registering my host routing thing again. I checked my plan and I still have the unlimited data. I am getting ready to wipe it again and reinstall everything. Any other ideas before I do this?

    Lets start with the basics and go from there.

    What OS version did you try to install?

    Who is your carrier?

    What version of Desktop Manager are you running?

    Have you tried to do a battery pull reset yet?

    Post back with this info, we can go from there.

    Sorry, I tried installing 4.2.1.107

    I have tmobile

    I am running 4.2.0.10 for my desktop manager

    and yes I have tried the hard restart with the battery pull

    I'd suggest Downloading Desktop Manager 4.2 SP2 (if that isn't the one you have). Then try reinstalling the OS.

    ok well I updated my desktop manager and did the whole reinstall thing and now im stuck looking at the hourglass been like this for over 10 minutes.... Just keep reinstalling my OS or what?

    is it rebooting? It takes a while to reboot.

    haha sorry, just needed another second there. It just finished rebooting, I am now restoring all my stuff. Then I guess I need to resend my service books?

    Ok so I resent my service books and my host routing table, then did a hard restart. I am still unable to see the default browser or connect to the internet. Ideas?

    Matt, have you already spoken to tmobile support? This happened to me once and they had to do something on their end to get the browser back.............worth a try if you haven't spoken with them already.

    So you went to your TMO account and resent your service books?

    You didn't get any notification on your BB?

    I have not spoken with them about this and may very well tomorrow. Good to know.

    @red

    I got a notification on my BB after I registered my host routing tables but I did not recieve a notification on my BB after I did the service books. I did do the service books first then the HRT

    Go to Options>Advanced Options>Service Book.

    Tell me what you have in there should be quite a few, but most importantly the Blackberry Internet browsing Service, TMO USA WAP browser config and also the transport.
