i recently upgraded to the TIM OS for the pearl and it was just too buggy, so i decided to roll back. the only copy of i was able to find is the Tmobile .64. im looking for copies of versions after the tmobile one. i downloaded the cingular .71 but all 3 setups i downloaded have the error "error intilizing setup" can someone link me to a working setup?

did you delete the vendor.xml file before installing the cingy OS?

is the .64 what you have on your pc already? or is that the one that tmobile offers on their website?

the only reason that could happen is because you didn't uninstall the italy version. you have to uninstall it, via the PC control panel, and then install the older one. the app loader/desktop manager will recognize that you are trying to load an older version OS than what is currently on the phone.

the cingy OS won't install at all. im not talking about the install through desktop manager im talking about installing the setup.exe.

    hmm...what exactly is setup.exe?

like once you have downloaded it to your computer it won't execute/install?
i can't imagine what the problem would be. first, make sure you have uninstalled, through control panel>add/remove programs, the italian OS.

if you are getting an error while installing the OS to your PC, then you should probably delete it all together and start over.

i haven't heard of anyone having trouble this soon into the install
