Once you give yourself a short time to get used to Sure-Type you will really like it. I'm really fast with it and I don't even use my Sure-Type Pearl everyday anymore. My main BB is my 8310 Curve, and yet I'm getting an 8220 as a second BB for fun, a great phone really. The size is a real advantage and I'm going to use it for weekends.

I use to hate SureType at first but then I learned it and I'm type faster on the pearl then I can touch-type.

I could get this, but I don't want to use up my full upgrade on this BB. I'm saving it for my Javelin. I would have to pay retail price if I want this phone and I don't have all that right now.

I will get this though, but not at the moment.

LOL, HeavyComponent we were talking about these two blackberriesone day! I was emailing you..

But I love the fact of the phone being flip so its smart and also convient! And its a good twist to the regular bar phone!!

But I have a question when you are due for an upgrade can you get any phone you want?? Or what do you have to pay?

While I am still getting used to the suretype keyboard (after Curve's QWERTY) I absolutely love it. My chief concern with the curve was the styling, as it was a bit obscure to speak to somebody holding a brick up to your ear. The 8220 is cute and sleek, and quite functional. I recommend it to all.

I find the trackball to be a little different than usual, but very functional and operational. The speaker is LOUD. I mean LOUDDDD. The first time I received a text message I thought someone was breaking in my house, it scared me tremendously. Keypad is very easy to use for anyone, and the keys are nicely sized (why I never got the first pearl.) Screen is crisp and clean, video displays horizontally for optimum resolution and screen usage. While the OS used to get a little laggy when I didn't close unused apps, an upgrade to .155 was a (semi)quick fix. I love being able to preview SMS/emails/IMs on the external screen. Oh yea, and the bedside clock rocks.

If you are apprehensive (as was I) about upgrading from a "full size" blackberry such as the curve, don't be. It's very easy to get accustomed to, the size and styling are absolutely artistic and perfect, and the phone makes serious improvements over those prior.

Oh yea, and easy access SD card loading is kinda nice, too.
