    Gmail vs. Push

I have a unlimited BIS plan, I already have a unrelated e-mail account set to push to my BB, and have been using the Gmail mobile client for my Gmail. I've been debating whether to keep using the Gmail app or to add my Gmail as a second push account. Any suggestions from people using both, pros/cons?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I too use Gmail, this way I check it when I want. Its quick and easy, just one button to push. It works for me, but everyone is different.

I have both, I like it pushed. Only use the Gmail app if I can't get to a PC to mark as spam, move or star emails. Things you can't do with the BB. Basically editing things which I can't do with my BB.

    Works Awesome

    Re: Gmail vs. Push

I also have the unlimited BIS plan. I've added my Gmail account to push to my BB. I used to have another Yahoo acct set to push, but I deleted it. too much spam.
I've also got the Gmail app loaded. I guess it depends if you want to stay logged into your Gmail account and if all your contacts have email addresses in your address book. I personally set my Gmail app so that I need to log in everytime.
I don't have many contacts with email addresses in my address book, so if I wanted to send an email, I'd have to log into my Gmail account to look up the address. One thing I find abit annoying is when I reply to an email with the BB I get a copy of my reply in my message box and in my Gmail on the PC...

You can fix this, go to your BIS account and set a filter for yourself on your gmail account

    From: your address
Set not to push to your BB.

The problem I have with the gmail app is that it seems to drain the battery quickly.

Added your gmail account to your bis email it much better. You get it just as fast as on your pc.

    Re: Gmail vs. Push

I'd rather have them pushed since I don't have a lot of junk email. The only annoying thing is getting an email at 2am like It did last night

I switch my profile when I go to sleep so that if I get an email there is no notification tone to wake me up...
