Getting rid of the "Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry" Signature

I'm new to the board and probably like every noob am looking just for help straight away probably to a simple question.
I am trying to get rid of the signature "Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry" that appears at the end of all of the messages I send.
Does anyone know how to do this, I've scoured manuals and forums looking for the answer, but have come up short.
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jim

I'm with T-Mobile but I suspect the answer is the same.

With T-Mobile, you log into your online account and drill down to email perferences. What you want can be changed or deleted entirely.

I'm thinking that Verizon is similiar. Good luck.

This probably sounds stupid but could you help me "drill down to email preferences?" I'm on my pc and at the my T-Mobile spot but can't seem to find my e-mail preferences. Sorry for the ignorance but I guess if I don't ask I can't learn.

From my Blackberry, I click the "Messages" icon, click the trackwheel again and choose "Options", then click the trackwheel on "Email Settings", then change the option of "Use Auto Signature" to "NO".

I see. Anyone have a step by step on how to do it with the Pearl. I can't seem to figure it out. I can't find it on the device or on my PC at My T-Mobile.

Once again any help is greatly appreciated!

OK, how about from BB Desktop Manager? I am using version 4.2. Click "Email Settings" then delete or change text that is displayed in the box below "Auto signature" Then resync your BB.

I also have version 4.2 yet can't seem to find the "Email Settings" is it because of the different devices? Where exactly are you seeing the "email settings?"

you need to do it from your PC. all you have to do is go into the email setup on your carrier website, and click on your email accounts. You'll see the box with the signature there. just clear the field. I assume Verizon is the same. You can't control it from your actual device. Only from the carrier website.

When I open "Desktop Manager" it is one of the 6 available icons. I am running on a BES but I am going to assume you are on a BIS. Did you try the link that was posted earlier? Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thank you for at least trying, that means a lot. I ended up getting it figured out thanks to mysmrhh's post right before yours!

    Thanks again!

From previous threads on this same issue, I learned that other bb models do allow you to turn it off, from the device, regardless of whether you are BES or BIS.

    As far as T-Mobile:
Go log into My T-Mobile. When you are in your account scroll down to this section. Click on BlackBerry Internet E-mail. You should be able to edit your signature there.

    For Cingular customers:
Go to https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=mycingular and log in to your BlackBerry account. You will be able to edit your signature there.

I assume Verizon Wireless can also do it from this link:
    https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw

After you log in, you will see this:

Just click on any of those EDIT buttons to change the signature blocks

If you are having problems with sent mail coming back to you as a New Message (like Gmail), follow this:

Click on Filters for that account, and create a new filter (Any filter name you wish) as such:
