    I don't think so...

You can press ALT + BN,BN,M,L,L to change the battery display to a number... This is for the 71xx and 81xx models...

I'm on crack this afternoon... Yeah it gets rid of the signal strength... there is no way to modify the battery indicator.

I must be as well. I didn't even see "battery" in your post.

I'm curious: why are we trying to remove critical information from the BlackBerry display?

If you don't want to see any of that information, leave the Media -> Pictures app permanently running with a picture displayed, set your right side convenience key to application switcher, and when you want to look at the picture, switch to the picture, and when you want your BlackBerry to be usefull, use the switcher to get to the apps you need. Just a suggestion.

actually the operator logo can't be removed. It is also called the branding screen. My 7290 is connected to Cingular but it used to an AT&T phone until I unlocked it but it still has the AT&T operator logo on the screen.

Sorry bb-pearl, it just can't be done on any of the Blackberry Devices at the current time. It's apparently imbedded deep into the non-accessable firmware.
