    Full Power Off

Does anyone know how to "full power off" the 8100? Mine keeps turn on for every meeting notice. My old BB had a full power off icon which would turn the device off and it would not turn back on unless you manually turned it on. Where's the icon?

    It's hidden by default...

You need to either go to "organize applications" or "show all" of your applications (depending on which theme you are using) and unhide it.

Probably at the very end or close to it of all the icons.

I think that icon is hidden by default on the pearl. To find it, click the blackberry button while you're at the home screen then select "show all" in the menu. Then go to the power off icon, click the blackberry button again, and uncheck "show application".

You don't really need it on the pearl, though, because you can power it off by holding down the end call key for a few seconds.

Good call BWGREGG. Love the power off feature on the Pearl with the end button. I always forgot about the power button up top on my 7105t.

    Re: Full Power Off

Everyone ... thanks for your help. "Show all" definitely was the ticket.

I usually perfer a full power off because if you power down using the end call key, the BB turns on for every meeting notification and as I'm at work, my PC is already showing the meeting notification.

BTW, I just got mine last week - wow, a bit of a love affair happening here! I stupidly showed it to the CEO and COO and now they want one. There goes my budget...

    Thanks again.

    HEFI, Welcome to PinStack.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with your BB. And about the Budget. There should be a large increase in the budget next year, just so they CAN have their BBs. I'm sure it isn't in the current one, is it?

In your list of icons, when you hit show all, it is a red circle that says power off. you can also move it to be on the main screen with some of the themes. just click the blackberry key when showing all icons and select move icon to move it up the list to the top.

Its theme dependant what it looks like. It should be there via a show all.
