ok shorty, lets see if i can get you everything in one post...

first off... you're gonna need to download a device OS...
    https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...B53786A2C5FA09
select "blackberry pearl 8120 smartphone from the dropdown menu and a list will populate... download the first item on the list (just under the dropdown menu)... its called "BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.174 (EastAsia) " (dont worry this will be an english OS)
you'll have to fill in some information on the next page...

next, you install the OS that you've downloaded...
    go into "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader" and delete the file "vendor.xml"

now go and get jl cmder
    http://forums.pinstack.com/showthrea...+jl+cmder+wipe
follow lavagirl's instructions on how to use this software to wipe your device...
keep in mind, all info will be lost... everything...

once you've done this, and the phone has restarted with "error 507" on the screen, go back into: c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and execute "loader.exe"

follow the steps on the screen to install the latest os...

    that should do it...

if you run into any trouble along the way, just post back in this thread and ill reply as soon as i can...
    i see RED...

Shortiegirl ATT will honor a warranty on device bought @ WM! Ok now for the bad news a Jl wipe could void your warranty which may be your only option because from what you have described it sounds like liquid damage under the keypad. I may be wrong but if you can get to an ATT tech, that would be your best 1st step. Whatever you decide we will be happy to help if we can.

    Hope this helps.l...

Boards damaged as in corrosion/liquid damage or physical damage like the broke the charging port off of the board.

Unfortunately none of the above is covered by warranty.
Hope this helps... Sorry to be the bearer of bad news
