I know others have mentioned this but I just did it and freed almost TEN MEGS of space!!!!

Go to OPTIONS then ADVANCED then APPLICATIONS.

Now use the MENU and DELETE all the extra languages under INPUT SUPPORT and LANGUAGES. Look carefully and you can also delete the built in video file.

You can also delete the built in help, password keeper and anything else you never use.

I reclaimed almost 10 megs of space by doing this !!!

You can also delete themes you don't use, the preloaded pictures, and the preloaded ringtones. Saves another 10 -15 mb.

Sandumpster do you have a link to a how to on deleting preloaded ringtones? I was under the impression that nobody had figured out how to delete preloaded ringtones on OS 4.1 and higher.

this can also be done using the Application Loader within the Desktop Manager. more convenient to navigate through - just be sure to leave at least one language (that you can read) checked, to be loaded on the device.

What happens if you want to restore these options? I'm on a mac but I have access to Windows if it requires Desktop.

I did, I just couldn't figure it out. I have to d/l the prog and connect the phone to my PC using the USB cord and type in all of those through my comp and it will delete the files on my phone? also I was deleting stuff I don't need like blackberry messenger and blackberry map and it prompted me to restart but I said no so I'll can finish up deleting other stuff on the phone than restarted, as soon as I did and the phone came back up, I got this message " Uncaught exception Java.Lang.Nullpointer exception " so I was wondering if you guys had the same problem also, I know their is a thread for it but they didn't get this error while doing that.

I think if you ever need these things you would need to reinstall the entire OS again but I am not 100% certain.
