So I was having issues when I got a replacement pearl due to the battery compartment not staying in place. When i transferred my info on to the new phone it stopped reading the OZ messenger app. ( I had the 4.5 OS) Anyhow, during the troubleshooting with T-mobile they sent me the service books and some other apps. Eventually they said to downgrade to the 4.2 Which is their latest OS...I did and it worked again, but apparently they left the data plan intact after the troubleshooting. It's been like 2 months now, and I'm not being charged for it. The downside is that I'm stuck on the 4.2 OS but quite frankly I didn't have that much use for the 4.5 OS other than the better looking themes...This has happened before when I've had to call for some troubleshooting but that last time the data plan only lasted about a week...

The moral of the story? Complain to your carrier about some "phone issues" and they may just forget to take off the data plan (provided you didn't have it).
