Find an old PIN number
So I gave my old BB Pearl to a friend as a loaner and he "lost" it. I'm not sure I 100% believe him, so I wanted to PIN message the phone to see if its alive and working. I have the IMEI but not the PIN number. Is there a way to figure that out?
Did you ever have that pin tied to any apps?
^^That is a Good idea.

You could call up your carrier and have them report the device as stolen/lost to RIM.
(the carrier will know your old IMEI and IMSI - they'll blacklist the device / sim on their network). RIM can blacklist the PIN so it'll never work again.
send one that says "you have just won a plasma tv,respond to collect your prize".
This is where it'd be really kewl to have a gps-enabled device with one of the tracker/buddy apps on it (walk over to their house and ask for your device back)
LOL! That's funny! Just sent it for giggles. I did have someone to offer to lookup the the device, but I have a feeling it really is lost.
