    Question Fatal Error?!

    I am a new owner of the Blackberry Pearl 8130 and have been trying to update it using the Desktop Manager. However, it starts off normally and ends up not updating and giving me a fatal error message. What's the deal? Will I be able to fix this without taking it to my service provider (Alltel)?

    Rather than desktop manager, search your pc for loader.exe and use that to perform the upgrade.

    As dg suggest try going to c/program files/common files/research in motion/app loader and run the loader.exe from there.

    What os are you trying to load... Is it for Alltel or another carrier?
