No, those are the only 2 places I get my emails.... BlackBerry Pearl forum
No, those are the only 2 places I get my emails.
if you are having them pushed to your device then you would want to delete them with the option of "Mailbox and handheld". you will need to change the override from mailbox to handheld. in my cases i will get the email in both. the phone lags by a little. i will delete the message in my mailbox and then get the message to my phone. if i get the message to my phone and delete it there it shows up as "read" in my inbox at my computer. so yeah....
beav, try resending your service books and make sure you have the settings for saving the messages right. the 64MB that is on the device is like the memory in your computer but you cant add to it. the memory card is like your hard drive of your computer, you can put one and buy a bigger one but it will not have any affect on the memory. the two things are separate in the BB as they are in a computer.
hope this helps

How do I resend the books
Yes: apps> setup Internet email>service books> send service books> ok
No: Call Provider.
PS-- make sure you are running the lastest OS version: 22.214.171.124. apps> Options> about> look for "v126.96.36.199" if you dont have it then i can guide you through that. let me know if this helps

Thanks so much for the help ( and to everyone else who responded ). Would this setting be in my BIS account settings? I'm running a mac, so can't use desktop manager ( pocketmac is what we have, but it has a lot less features than DM )
* sorry, this should have been addressed to JCG, not beav626.

You posted that your emails are delting on your handheld in what seems a random manner...Are these emails deleting after you read/delete them from your desktop?
Pocket mac is only good for syncing iCal IMO. so with that i would recommend you take any other feature you have Pocket mac doing for you off. I have had bad experiences with the other features on Pocket mac.
if you have it set to do some other thing for any particular reason, please post them here i am sure I or someone else will have a work around for you to use.
just a tip
I may have found the solution!!
JCG3's post got me to take a look at my BIS page, and I noticed that 'Synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device' in the deleted items section was checked. I've unchecked to see what happened and so far ( about a day ) it hasn't deleted any messages!!!!!! For some reason,, it never crossed my mind that after a message was on my BB, it could still be cross referencing what's still on my server or not. After months of frustration with this, I will be soooo happy if this is the cure!!
Gary, I thought it was random, but now I feel like it might not have been.
JCG, I basically only use pocketmac to send 'sent' emails from my BB to my Entourage 'sent' box.
Thanks again to everyone's help. Fingers are crossed ( since it's only been a day), and beav626, sorry for hijacking your post.
Sounds like you found it .
Keep us informed!
Just a quick update to you all that it's been 5 days now, and all my emails are still on my BB. My solution was indeed found! Thanks again to everyone for al your help! I love my Pearl even more now that it works like it was always supposed to. Can't beleive it took me so long to figure such a simple fix for it.

I'm on at&t, so it's not the same as t-mobile, but this thread has a list for all carriers.
cdgla, glad it is all working for you. things can get tricky at times. i have found that many programs love to take over the controls at times. AOL is a great example. (if you have a slow desktop and have AOL installed PM me and i will help any you....)
Beav, when you go to the T-mo website, go the My T-moblie function and enter your phone # and password and look for something that mentions setting up internet email and you should notice an adress in your address bar like "bis.tmobile....." and thats where you can resend service books, set filters and set up internet email to be sent to your BB.
How do I get to the BIS page?
substitute the vzw for your carriers name if your not with verizon
