    Hey all, new to forum and BB as well,
    I have gotten almost everything I want out of the pearl, but have some issues I'm trying to resolve.
    First, I have email coming to my BB from a work address and my personal gmail accounts. Everything works fine recieving. What I want to know is how to stop receiving the emails that come back after sending an email. For example, I pick a contact and email them from the bb, a minute later I get an email back telling me I emailed the contact. Or if I reply to an email, the msg I send to the original sender, comes to me via my gmail or work email??? WHY the redundancy??? Any way to stop this??

    Welcome to the stacks Wack!

    if you open your email folder on your bb from the home screen press the bb/menu button --> options --> email settings and see if confirm delivery is "on".

    let us know if this helps and if this solves your problem.

    Is this actually an email stating that you sent one to that contact, or a copy of the email you sent. If the latter, log into the BIS account where you set up the email addresses and create a filter for each email address you have set up. The filter should be for From: Contains and the account name concerned. The action should by Forward to BB = No.

    It is an email containing the msg I sent to the recipient. Where do I go to change the things you just said???

    Did you by any chance set up BCC for outbound emails?

    It sounds like you need to go to your BIS set up page and filter out the email address you are sending
    from.

    I think I was able to do this on my gmail account. Just to be sure, do I enter my own email address or is there a email/whatever associated with the bb that I need to enter??
    As far as the work address, I can't find any options that allow this? We use OWA as our email pgm.

    Sorry - I am not much help with OWA...unless it is set up thru your BIS page I think you are going to need to get with your IT dept about the filter...

    when you go into filters in the bis enter "from field" contains "your email address" and select do not forward to handheld. it will filter out anything that comes form your own email address.
