    I think I've seen this on here before but have never personally had this problem... and tried to search but can't find the answer.

    I have the little email icon with the number 8 by it at the top of my screen, saying I have 8 unread emails... but every email has been read, I've gone through 3 times. I work in the IT for my company and the only thing I can think of it happened when we moved our exchange server, but I can't figure out how to get that indicator to go away because I don't have any unopen emails...

    Any help would be appreciated

    Open up your Messages icon, Scroll up to the current date, Hit Menu, Select Mark Prior Opened.

    Hopefully that will get rid of them. Let me know how it goes.

    thanks for the fast response... no, that didn't do it. I've tried soft resetting through that little program as well.

    Well then, have you backed up lately? If you backed up before this happened you can always restore and that should make them go away. Other than that I'm not sure what else would make it go away.

    What OS are you on? You could try updating, usually that will get rid of them also.

    Mine does the same thing, but it not always an email. Sometimes it's a Blackberry Messenger message or PTT message or SMS or MMS too. Probably doesn't help just saying thou!

    I was thinking the same thing... I forget which one i downloaded, it's been awhile since I upgraded... i think it might have been rogers (I have T-mobile) but the version is 4.2.0.64. It's also been awhile since I've been keeping up to date with this Is there a better version available w/ features/bug fixes? Thanks!

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~you may have to try wiping your handhelp first and then updating then...hit options...security...general settings...hit the menu button and select wipe handheld...if that doesn't do the trick then I don't know what would...hope this helps though

    yea but if it's restoring to a point where he has them still on his device then it's pretty point less.

    You can try a selective restore...Open up the DM select the Backup/Restore then Choose advanced button. Then you can remove or add certain data bases to your liking. Just remove the email data base.

    I'm a noob - I found those emails in my 'saved emails' folder... I must have selected them and meant to hit 'mark opened' but hit 'save' instead... my bad! Thanks for all your help!
