You can hide the copies of your sent emails this way:
When in your email inbox click the bb menu key and goto Options > General Options.

Look for Hide Sent Messages and goto "Yes" and save the changes.

I already have my sent messages hidden, it's something the way gmail works where it actually SENDs your own e-mail back to you..

Create a filter in the BIS webpage where you added the gmail address to BIS. The filter created should prevent the receipt of emails that you have sent.

    Re: email delay

Hey David, thanks for the follow up. no luck, but a bunch of people in my office overheard me while speaking to Cingular, and said they have the same problem. as it seems, we'll have to suck it up and learn to live with it. I received 8 emails at 4am. oh well...kinda disappointing b/c it is so random

but while talking to Cingular they turned on the BB Browser so at least I got something out of it lol

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Is it a pop or imap server re: your email? Resending the service books did nothing? Try as an experiment resending them when you have new mail on the pc and see how long after it takes to get it on the BB.

    David
