    hi again

    2nd post in two days...........iam on a roll now

    my bb is linked to my outlook email account, emails get sent to my outlook account no problem, i have set it so my bb also recieves these emails but for some reason iam getting each email duplicated ???

    You say your BB is linked to your Outlook email account, does this mean your are on BES? Or have you set up rules in Outlook to forward your mail to your BIS address? And have then gone into your BIS account and set it up to pull your messages from your email account? If so, delete one or the other.

    RC is right on!

    My first thought is that you've done two things: set up your email with BIS, as well as forward email using Outlook rules or Redirector.

    As RC said, no need for both, delete one or the other.

    I would recommend keeping the BIS setup, and delete the forwarding or Redirector.

    sorry to sound an idiot but could you just explain what it is you mean

    i have set up my bb so a copy of my email from the outlook account is sent to my bb, dont think i have set anything up twice?????
    i have done this from my vodafone mail mobile page

    If the only thing you have done is to add your email account to your BIS, then you should only be getting one copy of your email that is sent to that account forwarded to your BB. By getting duplicates do you mean your are getting two copies of each email on your BB? Or do you mean you get one on your outlook and one on your BB.

    Wait a minute, Let's step back and look at it a different way. Open your messages list, the complete list. How many copies of the each email do you see? One or Two? Now, open the individual Account Message list and tell us how many copies of each you see. Then go read the post on Understanding Multiple . . . that is linked in my sig. Is that what you are seeing?

    in my email message list i have two copies of each email, they seem to be approx 2/3 mins apart

    Never mind, I was just trying to verify a theory. I'm at a loss, only thing I can suggest if you haven't set a forwarding rule in Outlook, is to try deleting the account in BIS and re-adding it. Maybe something funky happened in the original set up.

    Knightly:

    When you get two "copies" of the same email, do this: open each one, one at a time, scroll all the way up to the top, you will see a field in the header information called "received using:".

    Verify that #1 these are different or #2 these are the same.

    If they are different, then what you have done is set up your email account to forward email to your @carrier.BlackBerry.net address AS WELL AS set up the BIS to retrieve and push your email. If this is the case, turn off the mail forwarding.

    If it's #2, then you've stumped us! Try what RC suggested and just delete the mail account from the BIS, send the service books, then add the account again.

    eg where do i find the BIS address and also the @carrier.blackberry.net address

    i have checked my incoming email and it says recieved by MOBILE MAIL, both copies say this........

    i have deleted my account and set it up again and it is still sending me 2 copies.....H E L P

    i set up my account on vodafone mobile email page, putting in my ime number and pin number, where else could it be set up and how do i find it as this is really getting to me now guys and i really hope you can pull something out of the bag for me

    I have the same problem with Gmail. I changed acct settings, took it out of my push list, put it back. All to no avail. I just put up with it. Lol. Not much else I can do, except quit using it.
