    Email & Web not wking after backing up BB

    Hi,

    I had to get a new pearl because mine broke. I backed up my old pearl and put the file on my new pearl. Everything is now there - emails, phonebook, ect...

    Now I cannot receive or send emails. I cannot get onto the web either. It is some configuration problem. When I try to enable the web browser it says "no browser configuration.

    I thought I would ask here to see if anyone had any ideas before I call T-Mobile.

    Hi Holly,

    It sounds like you may not yet have your internet service active on your new device...do you have a EDGE signal (all in caps)?

    If yes, lets try and re-register the device...go to OPTIONS>ADVANCED>HOST ROUTING TABLE and hit MENU>Register Now

    Post back how this goes!

    Also you can log into youre BIS account and resend the servicebooks

    Hi,

    Thanks. I did that and now my browser has appeared as an icon and I can get onto the web. Half the battle.

    My email is still not coming in. I tried sending a message out and it failed. The email says "Transaction error - failure at service"

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    You must change your device on your BIS. Log on and go to change device. And enter your new IMEI and PIN.

    yeah just like takadante says, you need to log into your BIS then change device to your new BB. After that re-send your service books if the server doesn't automatically.

    I can't find: IMEI and PIN to change it in T-=Mobile. I am still looking.

    On youre BB go to Menu - Options - Status there you find the IMEI and PIN.
    In youre BIS Account you find a Point called Change Device ehere you put in the IMEI and PIN.

    After doing this pls resend the service books.

    Thanks guys I fixed that.

    Now I have to get my email from my exchange server. That is not working.

    Any thoughts. I am looking around T-Mobile as we speak.

    I don't know anythning about BES, but you can try to go to options, advanced options, then enterprise actvation.

    Holly,

    Microsoft Exchange Server? If yes all you need to do is set up your email account either on the phone with the set up email options or on TMO's web site under MyTmobile. You may need to know your password (same as you would use for Outlook) Let us know if you have any problems!
